skill level.

  • 🐚 Foundations (Level 1)

    Total beginner? start here.

Build strength, awareness, and confidence while honouring pole's strip club roots. Foundations is where you learn how to move on the pole from the ground up.

You will build confidence by learning how to support your body using your hands and shoulders, and start combining simple movements into short sequences.

This is a repetition-based level. You will stay here until movement feels controlled, familiar, and steady.

    You will learn to:

spin safely on both sides of the pole

support your body weight using your grip and shoulders

stay oriented while rotating and moving around the pole

link 2–3 simple movements without stopping

you will repeat this level until:

spins feel controlled instead of chaotic

you can move without constantly resetting

you feel steady moving on and around the pole

    Pre-req: no experience needed.

  • 🌱 Seed (Level 2)

    Building blocks.

Seed is where you start connecting movements together.

You already understand basic pole movement, and now you learn how to combine spins, sits, and floorwork into short sequences. The focus is on moving continuously without stopping and building strength through repetition.

This is where pole starts to feel like dancing instead of individual tricks.

    You will learn to:

link spins and movements into short combinations

move in and out of the pole without stopping

build control in seated positions on the pole

develop strength and coordination through repetition

explore low, grounded movement and simple flow

You will repeat this level until:

you can link 2–4 movements without pausing

you feel comfortable staying on the pole without resetting

transitions between movements feel smooth instead of separate

Pre-req: Can complete basic spins from level 1: such as fireman, back hook spin, front hook spin, and able to link 2-3 sequences together.

  • 🌸 Bloom (Level 3)

    Skill integration.

Bloom is where everything starts to connect vertically and horizontally.

You begin moving between floor, spin, and climbing work in longer sequences. This level introduces structured climbing and preparation for going upside down, with a strong focus on control, alignment, and strength.

This is where movement becomes more continuous, expressive, and physically demanding.

    You will learn to:

climb and move higher on the pole with control

prepare your body for inversion work safely and progressively

connect floorwork, spins, and pole movement into longer sequences

develop strength and control in high beginner - intermediate spins and tricks

build confidence moving between different levels of the pole.

You will repeat this level until:

    climbing feels controlled and repeatable

you can move through longer sequences without breaking flow

    inversions feels strong and stable

you can transition between floor and pole with confidence

Pre-req: Comfortable with Level 2 skills pole sits, fan kicks, reverse stag.

  • 💐 Flourish (Level 4)

    Performance and power.

Flourish is where technical ability becomes full expression.

You work with advanced combinations, inversions, aerial transitions, and performance-driven choreography. Movement becomes faster, more complex, and more physically demanding, requiring strength, control, and endurance.

This level is about refining skill into performance and developing your personal movement style.

    You will learn to:

move confidently upside down and in advanced positions on the pole

link complex sequences that combine spins, inversions, and transitions

control movement under fatigue and physical demand

develop performance quality, musicality, and expression

explore advanced transitions between floor, spin, and aerial movement

You will repeat this level until:

inversions and advanced movement feel consistent and controlled

you can perform longer sequences without losing technique

you can maintain control and expression under fatigue

your movement feels intentional, not just technical

Pre-req: Comfortable with Level 3 skills invert, climbs, ballerina, air walk, lay backs, jasmine variations etc.

OUR teaching PHILOSOPHY.

Pole dance was built by strippers and sex workers. That legacy lives in our studios.

We honour the artists who came before us by centering musicality, strength, and expressive movement, grounded in culture and elevated by community.

At Gooey, we define progress through depth, not height.

Power and presence manifest in different ways, which is why our class levels reflect increasing complexity, integration, and self-expression, not just vertical progression. When you come get gooey, you are investing in dancing with clarity of movement, musicality, strength, and expression.

WHY LEARN AT GOOEY?

Because we teach with care.
Because we train with respect.
Because we move with meaning.

Our instructors create space for your full experience—whether you're pushing through conditioning or feeling the joy of a combo that really lands.
